  • Chemical peels are designed to enhance the appearance of the skin, particularly on the face, neck, or hands by exfoliating the surface layer of the skin. The solution typically contains one or more acids, such as alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), or trichloroacetic acid (TCA), depending on the type and strength of the peel.

  • Our peels are suitable for all skin tones and types. They typically address moderate skin concerns, such as:

    • Sun Damage: They can reduce the appearance of sunspots, freckles, and pigmentation irregularities caused by excessive sun exposure.

    • Fine Lines and Wrinkles: They can help smooth out moderate wrinkles and fine lines, giving the skin a more youthful appearance.

    • Skin Texture: They are effective in reducing the appearance of acne scars and improving skin texture.

    • Uneven Skin Tone: They can even out skin tone and improve the skin's overall complexion.

    1. Consultation: During the consultation you'll discuss your skin concerns, medical history, and goals. The most suitable peel type, strength, and duration will be selected based on your skin type and needs. You will also be advised on the skincare routine to follow on the days leading up to your peel to minimise potential side effects.

    2. Cleansing: On the day of the treatment your skin will be thoroughly cleansed, this ensures that the chemical peel can penetrate the skin effectively.

    3. Application of Chemical Peel: The chemical peel solution will be applied to your skin using a brush or cotton applicator. The peel solution is left on your skin for a specific amount of time, determined by the type of peel and your skin's response.

    4. Sensation: You may experience a tingling or burning sensation as the chemical peel solution is applied. The intensity of this sensation can vary, but it's generally temporary and subsides quickly.

    5. Neutralisation: After the desired amount of time has passed, the chemical peel will be deactivated using a neutralising solution.

    6. Post-Treatment Care: You will be provided with post-treatment instructions, which may include applying a soothing cream, avoiding direct sunlight, and using sunscreen. It's crucial to follow these instructions to ensure proper healing and optimal results.

  • The results of a chemical peel treatment vary depending on the depth of the peel and your specific concerns. Generally, you can expect improvements in skin texture, tone, and a reduction in issues like fine lines, sun damage, and oil production. Multiple sessions are recommended for best results and to address more significant concerns.

  • Your skin may appear red, feel tight, and you may experience some mild peeling in the days following the treatment, It may take anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks for your skin to fully heal depending on the depth of the peel. It's crucial to follow the provided aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing and optimal results.
